Someday I'll Find My Yellow Umbrella

          This is one of the most important and popular things in the How I Met Your Mother series.



"Someday I'll find my yellow umbrella."Basically why the term is about a yellow umbrella is because Ted, the main character picks up "The Mother's" yellow umbrella when it was left after a party. Later after he dated her roommate and left the umbrella at the apartment. After a wedding years after that, Ted runs into the girl and recognizes her because of the yellow umbrella which explains "Someday I'll Find My Yellow Umbrella." So when people calls someone a yellow umbrella they mean the one, or the love of your life. This is more explained in a quote in one of the final episodes. "When you meet the right person you know it. You can't stop thinking about them, they're your best friend and your soul mate. You can't wait to spend the rest of your life with them. No one else can compare." This explains one of the most important things or sayings in the How I Met Your Mother series
